Krancer approved to head Pennsylvania’s Department of Environmental Protection
Michael Krancer has received unanimous approval to head Pennsylvania’s Department of Environmental Protection, WHYY’s Susan Philips reports from Harrisburg.
Krancer faced a Senate confirmation hearing this morning.
A former judge on the state’s Environmental Hearing Board, Krancer joins Gov. Tom Corbett’s cabinet. Krancer says he’ll look into the recent report by the New York Times that stated more than 65 of the state’s drinking water intake sites haven’t been tested for toxins since 2008 or earlier.
Susan will bring us the full story later.
