Knox returns to his Democratic roots

Tom Knox has ended his run as an independent voter in Pennsylvania. The perpetual maybe-candidate for mayor announced today he’s re-registered as a Democrat.

Tom MacDonald was on hand as Knox and Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter went to the Board of Elections to make the change. Knox changed his registration earlier this year, saying he’d run for mayor only if Milton Street won the primary. Now he’s got his sights set on a possible gubernatorial run.

Knox also said John Street has decided not to run for mayor, but is still considering another office. Street tells WHYY he hasn’t made up his mind about a mayoral run, or any other.
