Kids taken to hospital after two school bus crashes in Southwest, Northeast Philly

Authorities say two crashes involving school buses in different areas of Philadelphia sent several children to the hospital.

Police said one child was flown to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and three adults were taken to another hospital after a crash involving a bus and two other vehicles in southwest Philadelphia shortly after 7 a.m. Wednesday. Their conditions were not immediately available.

Officials said a school bus hit five parked vehicles in northeast Philadelphia in the city’s Busteton section shortly before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police said six of the 26 children on the bus were taken to Aria Health Torresdale hospital after complaining of pain, but no serious injuries were reported.
