Kensington Stranglers

Could there be more than one person behind the Kensington stranglings? That’s the question the Clog is posing. City Paper’s Isaiah Thompson posted his musings on the matter this morning, which boil down to this: the Kensington Strangler, is more a figment of the media’s imagination than anything else.

Thompson points out what hasn’t been pulled together very well in other reports: Two deaths have been tied. Three assaults have been tied to one another. The five instances are not necessarily related. And the sketch of the supposed strangler has been linked only to the living victims, not the deceased ones.

Thompson also shared his thoughs on context of the crimes and their connection to a neighborhood that’s no stranger to drugs and violence.
