Kensington CAPA using RecycleBank points to build garden classroom

Instead of letting your RecycleBank points build up and go unused (how many cat food coupons do you need, anyway?), you can now donate them to one of the many schools participating in the Green Schools Program — including Kensington CAPA.

The newly built Creative And Performing Arts school is collecting donated RecycleBank points to help fund its garden classroom.

The New Kensington Community Development Corp. says donated points will transfer into real dollars to help KCAPA students earn up to $5,000 to design and build the garden classroom.

Not only do you do not have to donate actual cash, you also get to take credit for helping students learn outside — the very dream you lobbied for when you sat behind your high school desk watching birds float by the classroom window.
