Kennett Square resident to head Public Utility Commission

Pa. Gov. Tom Corbett has announced his selection for the new chairman of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. Kennett Square resident Robert Powelson will lead the five-person agency, the Associated Press reports.

The former president of the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry has served on the PUC since 2008. He’ll replace former Chairman James Cawley, who will continue to serve as a PUC commissioner through the end of his contract in 2015.
