Judge grants mental health evaluation request for alleged dungeon ringleader

A judge today granted a request for a mental health evaluation for Linda Ann Weston, the alleged ringleader of the Tacony ‘dungeon’ scheme that now includes three other suspects and several adult and youth victims.

After a court appearance late last month, Weston’s attorney said it was likely Weston’s competency would be reviewed.

Weston, Eddie Wright and Gregory Thomas were arrested last month after four adults were found locked in a Tacony basement the trio was linked to. Since then, other victims have been found around Philadelphia, in Florida and in Texas. Weston’s daughter, Jane McIntosh, is also charged.
