Jostens cutting jobs at State College facility

Jostens has announced it will cut 230 jobs at its State College location. Name ring a bell. It should if you’ve ever had a school picture taken.

The yearbook and commercial printer is consolidating production facilities to a new plant in Tennessee, reports the Associated Press.

About 30 employees will stick around in State College for design, customer service and marketing support, but 230 will be laid off. Those employees will get a severance package and outplacement services, and a few may be offered work in Tennessee.

Minneapolis-based Jostens used to be the country’s 12th-largest employer until it began shedding employees in 2000.
