Firefighters battled a house blaze yesterday evening in Long Beach Township.

The fire broke out in a single-family home on Bay Terrace around 7 p.m., reaching two alarm status after quickly spreading from a jet ski in the garage to the upper levels.

According to Beach Haven firefighters, arriving crews encountered heavy fire conditions and made an “aggressive interior attack but had to be evacuated due to deteriorating conditions.” They were able to reenter once conditions improved and knock down the blaze.

Photos from the scene posted on JSHN.org show significant damage.
