Jesse Jackson to attend New Jersey union rallies

The Rev. Al Sharpton was in New Jersey last month to express opposition to Gov. Chris Christie’s plan to close the Vineland Developmental Center. Next week, Rev. Jesse Jackson will be in town to support the unions.

He’ll make tops in Camden, Trenton, Newark and Jersey City on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Associated Press reports the AFL-CIO invited Jackson for the series of pro-collective bargaining rallies. Christie recently began bargaining with the Communication Workers of America after initially saying he’s change benefits requirements through legislation.
