Jail time for former Boeing union boss caught in drug sting

    The former union boss of UAW Local 1096 has been sentenced to prison for his role in a drug operation authorities broke up last fall.

    Michael Patterson was arrested last year, pleaded guilty in March and will begin serving his six-month sentence next month. Thirty-seven people were arrested last year in a raid at Boeing’s Ridley plant. Patterson pleaded guilty to three counts of attempted possession of two prescription painkillers.

    The arrests ended a four-year investigation.
