Investigtion underway after Mechanicsburg fire

    A porch fire in Mechanicsburg that left a couple homeless and damaged three homes is now under investigation by the fire marshall and Mechanicsburg Borough Police.

    According to The Patriot-News, the fire started early Saturday morning at 12:34 a.m. on the 100 block of N. Market.  The fire spread to two homes nearby.

    When firefighters arrived on scene, they report seeing the home’s porch fully engulfed in flames and heavy smoke.

    According to The Patriot-News, firefighters helped two adults escape from the home. The two were treated at the scene.
