Injunction granted to Verizon to limit picketing union members in NJ

    The Associated Press reports Verizon Communication Inc. has been granted an injunction to limit picketing by striking union workers in New Jersey.

    According to the AP, the injunction limits picketing my members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

    A Verizon company spokesman tells the AP the company sought the injunction after incidents of sabotage, harassment and obstruction at its facilities.

    The AP reports Verizon has obtained similar injunctions in New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
