Independence Visitor Center wants you this weekend

Holiday weekends in Philadelphia are a special time. Most have fled the urban jungle for the sights and sounds of the seashore. But for those that stay behind, Philadelphia’s main attractions are primed and ready to please.

The Independence Visitors Center will be open until 7 p.m. beginning this weekend. Visitors can tour the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m., for free. Just a heads up, the exhibits will close at 5 p.m. on Memorial Day.

The newly opened Crosswalk Café is also open until 7 p.m. daily. In addition to café’ style lunch items, craft beers and wines, the space offers views of the entire area.

And instead of hoofing it around from one destination to another, look for Philly’s purple PHLASH bus, which begins its rounds this weekend as well.
