Tri-state region sends incumbents back to D.C.

It was a great day for incumbents in the tri-state region, as every single U.S. senator and congressmen won re-election yesterday.

Democratic Senators Tom Carper of Delaware, Bob Menendez of New Jersey and Bob Casey of Pennsylvania topped the list. Only Casey was given even a nervous moment by his Republican challenger.

In the Seventh District in Philadelphia’s western suburbs, Pat Meehan joined other members of the Republicans’ big 2010 freshman class in winning re-election. In Delaware, first-term Democrat John Carney did the same.
