Important visit: VP Biden visits Delaware to honor wife

In the midst of a busy travel schedule this week, Vice President Joe Biden made two visits to Wilmington, the most recent on Friday to honor his wife and her efforts to combat breast cancer.

The Vice President recognized his wife at an event through the Biden Breast Health Initiative.

NewsWorks’ Mark Eichmann reports Vice President Biden was in the area earlier for another this week before making a trip to the Middle East. On Friday morning, he returned to Delaware to honor his wife.

“All of us here today, we have for a long time shared the same dream. And that is to help the tens of millions of women and some men in America, and around the world, who have heard that dreaded phrase, literally, that dreaded phrase, ‘I’m afraid… I’m afraid you have breast cancer.”
