Important reminder: Fake drugs found for sale on boardwalk still illegal

Police in New Jersey have an important reminder of anyone on the Boardwalk this summer – the sale of even fake drugs is illegal.

In a story from the Press of Atlantic City, the state Division of Consumer Affairs collected nearly 1,400 packets of so-called fake drugs during a sweep of the Wildwood Boardwalk last week.

Police earlier swept through the Atlantic City’s Boardwalk shops on Memorial Day, seizing what authorities call a dangerous class of synthetic drugs, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

DCA Director Tom Calcagni tells the Press of Atlantic City the enforcement initiatives will continue at other locations along the Jersey Shore.
