Huge Talmud celebration in North Jersey

Nearly 100,000 Jews will gather at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., tomorrow to celebrate their study of the Talmud.

NJ.com reports that the organizers, Siyum HaShas, expect it to be the largest celebration of Jewish learning in centuries.

The participants will be recognizing their finishing of the 2,711-page Talmud, a record of Jewish law and writings. Many of them have spent the last seven and a half years reading one page of the Talmud a day.
