HUD: Kelly’s departure comes after ‘indiscretion’

The Inquirer has a little more detail on what Michael Kelly called his “family reasons” for leaving the Philadelphia Housing Authority.

Kelly resigned following a review by the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s human resources team about an “indiscretion” Kelly had with a female PHA manager.
Whatever Kelly did isn’t illegal, but his acknowledgement of it raised enough eyebrows that he seemed to feel it was time to go.

It was announced yesterday that Kelly will direct Washington, D.C.’s Department of Housing and Community Development.
