Hostess Brands seeks bankruptcy protection

    You might recognize Hostess snacks as the ones you buy when the store is out of your favorite Tastykake. But the company that makes things like Twinkies and Wonder Bread is facing far more serious issues than being Philadelphia’s second choice in snacks.

    Hostess Brands, Inc. has filed for bankruptcy protection, the Associated Press reports.

    The Texas-based bakery will continue routine operations throughout the help of a $75 million financial commitment from lenders.
