Hershey Entertainment taps Simpson as new CEO

Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Co. says its president William F. Simpson Jr. will become chief executive when Ted Kleisner retires at the end of the year.

In a statement released Wednesday, the company said its board approved the appointment, part of a succession plan first outlined last year.

Simpson will become CEO on Jan. 1 while Kleisner will remain the company’s board of directors.
