Heat warning extended through the end of the day

The heat warning that was supposed to end at 6 a.m. has been extended for an additional nine hours.

Temperatures are still in the 90s today, prompting the Philadelphia Department of Public Health to push the warning to 5 p.m.

Keep those fans an air conditioners going, skip the long black sweater and look out for those who are most at risk in the extreme heat, like the sick and elderly.
