Hear a 25-year retrospective of Radio Times (and tell me what I should ask Marty)

If you’re even a casual listener to WHYY-FM, you know this is a big year for a couple of our featured programs. Radio Times with Marty Moss-Coane celebrates 25 years on the air, and Fresh Air with Terry Gross marks 25 years as a daily, national show. And this morning at 11, Marty and her crew have a special hour planned looking back at the award-winning show, with memorable moments from Marty’s interviews, commentary from her producers, and a conversation with Bill Siemering, the radio genius who started All Things Considered before he became radio station manager here at WHYY (it was called WUHY then).  He hired Terry and Marty (and me, way back).

If you missed Fresh Air’s 25th anniversary show on May 11th, you can find it here.

Marty’s special hour will be repeated as always at 11 p.m. In between the two broadcasts, I’m supposed to interview Marty and Terry in a special live show commemorating their anniversaries this evening at the Suzanne Roberts Theater. It’s a sold-out show, but if there’s something you think i just have to ask these legends of radio, leave it in the comments below, or email me at ddavies@whyy.org.
