Hasidic paper removes Hillary Clinton from White House photo

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sat in the White House Situation Room with President Barack Obama and others as Navy SEALs set off to kill Osama bin Laden.

Readers of Der Tzitung may never know. The Brooklyn-based Hasidic newspaper used photo editing software to remove Clinton and Director for Counterterrorism Audrey Tomason based on an orthodox Jewish policy of not printing photographs of women.

Metro ran the story today based on the Failed Messiah blog post that noticed the difference between the photo the paper ran and the original copy.

The paper did not run the photo because of an orthodox perception that photos of women are sexually suggestive.
