The Rock & Roll Half Marathon, which starts and finishes along the Ben Franklin Parkway, will force the closures of both MLK and Kelly Drives on Sunday morning.

The route of the run, which starts at 7:45 a.m., winds through Center City and Old City, with runners making their way onto Kelly Drive to the Falls Bridge and then back along MLK Drive toward the Eakins Oval finish line.

Police announced that MLK Drive and Kelly Drive will be closed from the Art Museum to Falls Bridge from 6 and 7 a.m. respectively.

Kelly Drive is expected to reopen around 11 a.m., according to police, who urge motorists to avoid those areas as “long delays are expected.”
