Groups join lawsuit against New Jersey health care changes

Regulations for N.J. FamilyCare changed last year, eliminating 12,000 legal immigrants from the program. Under the law, legal immigrants must now be in the U.S. for five years before they qualify for health care under FamilyCare.

As Taunya English reports for WHYY, several immigrant-rights groups have joined a lawsuit against the state to help restore coverage to the thousands of families who’ve lost it.
