Group rallies to keep Ackerman in the School District
In the second such rally since Friday, a group will gather today at Dilworth Plaza to announce support for School District of Philadelphia Superintendent Arlene Ackerman, whom some fear will be forced out of the district.
Families Networking for Peace and Elder Pamela Williams of the Ark of Refuge Tabernacle of Philadelphia will lead the group as they call on Mayor Michael Nutter to announce the status of Ackerman’s contract.
