Grassroots organization calling on politicians to manage Delaware County’s strays
As the Delaware County SPCA moves ever closer to becoming a no-kill shelter and ending its animal control services, a grassroots organization is after residents and politicians to find a way to manage the strays.
The Delco Animal Welfare Group, or, if you’d like a giggle, DAWG, has created a call script to help residents get word to their elected officials that the county needs a plan for its strays, reports the Delaware County Times.
DAWG has 23 active members, many of whom volunteer at the SPCA, but the group is not affiliated in anyway with the SPCA, so it’s going straight to the pols for help.
