Chris Christie, luxury traveler

As the Philadelphia Inquirer reports, the U.S. Department of Justice’s inspector general has accused Governor Chris Christie of having expensive taste.

According to the report, while serving as US Attorney, Christie over-spent on his travel budget.

“A small number of U.S. attorneys routinely exceeded the government rate, by large amounts, with insufficient, inaccurate, or no justification,” it says.

Taxpayer money went to things like lavishly expensive car trips instead of taxis, and upper-crust hotels instead of less-expensive ones.
