Germantown United postpones Thursday fundraiser

Germantown United CDC will have to wait a bit longer to host its first-ever fundraiser.

Initially scheduled for Thursday night, the group announced Wednesday that “impending severe weather” forced the postponement of the “For the Love of Germantown” event at which former Gov. and Mayor Ed Rendell was slated to speak.

“The show WILL go on, but just not this Thursday,” read an annoucement from the group. “The good news is that we are working on a confirmed date in March. We will have the same great location at the historic Oak Cloisters, the same great menu inspired by 19th century Germantown restaurateur John Trower, the same great featured speaker and more.
