Germantown man brings doughnuts and care to city’s homeless

Meet David Shively. He spends his Sunday mornings delivering coffee and doughnuts to Philadelphia’s homeless men and women. That’s after his regular delivery job and his time spent running a homeless ministry.

NewsWorks’ Kristin Mosbrucker accompanied Shiverly on one of his Sunday trips, dropping bags on doughnuts beside the sleeping homeless on benches and floors long before the sun comes up. His partners speak to his compassion, as do the many who receive Shively’s weekly gift.
