Germantown man assaulted during early morning home invasion

Talk about a rude awakening.
Just after 5 a.m. Thursday, a 36-year-old man woke up to find two men inside his second-floor apartment in the 4600 block of Wayne Ave. demanding money.
One of the two unidentified men then struck the resident in the head with a shotgun. They both then fled the scene, according to police.
The home-invasion victim was treated by medics at the scene for injuries that didn’t require a trip to the hospital.
Police had no description of the suspects available as of 11:45 a.m.
