The Gazillion Bubble Show makes our list of family friendly events

Every Friday NewsWorks features family friendly activities selected by Germantown Avenue Parents. Among the the highlights this weekend is a bubble show that left Oprah saying “it will blow your mind!” Fan Yang is a performance artist with bubbles and one of his tricks is to turn the entire stage into a bubble “snow globe.” Yang currently holds 17 Guinness World Records; most recently for having put 108 people inside a single bubble.

Wyck Market

Around during the day?  Take the kids over to the locally-grown market at the Wyck Home Farm from 1-5pm.  Even after last weekend’s snow, you can still expect to catch goodies from red cabbage to carrots to heirloom tomatoes.  Maybe you’re thinking soup this weekend?  Get some fresh local ingredients, and while you’re at it, check out the Wyck House free self-guided tours from 1-4pm.

Formal attire required for the evening: have your preschooler put on her most beautiful Princess dress and step out for an evening of make-believe fun at the Greater Plymouth Community Center Princess Party. Listen to favorite fairy tale princess stories, enjoy a snack fit for a future queen, and decorate your own crown and wand along with other fun things.  6:30-8pm.  Ages 2-5 years.  $18-$22
