Gallery: Two years after Superstorm Sandy along the Route 35 corridor in Ocean County

Two years after Superstorm Sandy, some portions of the Route 35 corridor along Ocean County’s northern barrier island remain relatively unchanged, while others are radically different.

Sections of the sandy strip of land, separating the Atlantic Ocean from the Barnegat Bay, suffered catastrophic damage.

In the images shot on Oct. 29, 2014, scenes of recovery are intermingled with vacant lots and structures that remain destroyed.

Above, take the tour from Bay Head to Ortley Beach.
