Gallery: Today’s sunrise, snow squall, sunset

You had to be quick with your camera today.

“It looked like there wasn’t going to be any sunrise this morning,” said photographer Michael Guccione. “It was quick, but the sun briefly peaked over the horizon and was gone in just a minute or two in Ocean County.

Further north in Ocean Grove, photographer Steve Scanlon echoed Guccione’s comment.

“Within just a few minutes it ducked under the clouds,” he said.

During the early afternoon, a snow squall that passed through portions of New York City clipped coastal Monmouth County as it pushed offshore.

Photographers Corinne Cavallo and Chris Spiegel were on the beach in Allenhurst and Asbury Park, respectively, as the ominous clouds dropped toward the ocean and drifted offshore.

Then just a few hours later, JSHN contributor AnnMarie Nuti was snapping away in Brick, where she said the sunset “came and went fast.”
