Gallery: Saturday’s sunrise at the Jersey Shore

Before the shower activity this morning, the early birds enjoyed a colorful sunrise at the Jersey Shore.

Forecasters expect the late morning light shower activity to end by the early afternoon hours, but mainly cloudy skies will persist through the evening.

A northwest wind will usher in cooler air as a cold front passes offshore, dropping temperatures currently in the middle 60s to the upper 50s by the afternoon.

Tonight will feature the coolest conditions in days, with readings bottoming out in the lower to middle 40s.
