From plant to plastic

    As petroleum based plastics become more expensive to produce, industry is turning to bio-based materials — made from corn and wheat. But these products have environmental drawbacks of their own. The first “green” business to set-up shop in the University City Science Center hopes to solve some of those problems. From WHYY’s health and science desk, Kerry Grens reports.
