Friends of Race Street Pier monthly meeting recap

On Tuesday, April 10th the Friends of Race Street Pier held their monthly meeting.  The meeting notes are attached. The group has started to plan activities for the July 6th and September 7th First Friday celebrations. If you would like to get more involved please feel free to contact us at friendsofrsp@gmail.com.

On Tuesday, the group met a bit early and participated in a weeding project hosted by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.  We spent about one hour weeding the tree pits in the center alee of trees. We also tackled the garden in the front, north side of the pier. We all had a great time. We are working to make this Pre-Meeting Weeding part of our monthly meeting.  So, please mark your calendar for Tuesday May 8th at 6pm. Stop by the pier, dig in, and experience the pier in new ways. View photos of the gardening activity on Facebook and Flickr.
