Friends, family, other priests post bail for accused abusers
The teacher and four priests charged with various roles in the abuse against two minors are out on bail. Less than a week after their arrests, Bernard Shero, Edward Avery, Charles Englehardt, James Brennan and William Lynn have posted bail.
The Inquirer has the rundown of who helped the accused out, posting as much as $10,000 — some in cash. In most cases, a relative came to the rescue. In some cases, it was another priest.
