Franklin Square celebrates fifth anniversary of renovations

    Five years ago, Franklin Square was transformed into an amusement and tourist destination with the addition of mini golf, a fountain, playground and carousel.To celebrate the anniversary of its transformation, the square will hold a birthday party today from 11 to 5.
    Uwishunu has details on the party, which includes a giant card for all to sign, face-painting and free rides and ice cream for the first 55 kids.And by kid, they probably mean under 30, so don’t get any ideas.
