Fracking educational event put on by Phoenixville resident and activist

As the debate over issues surrounding fracking in Pennsylvania continue, a Phoenixville resident wants to continue to educate people about the natural gas extraction method.

The Phoenix reports resident and environmental activist Lisa Longo recently hosted a discussion group and a screening of the documentary “Gasland.”

Longo told The Phoenix the event served as an effort to educate people about fracking and to inspire them to do something about it.

Fracking is a natural gas extraction method that critics say pollutes air and water.
