Former Philly schools CFO will leave the district later this month

    Michael Masch, former chief financial officer for the School District of Philadelphia, will leave the district later this month.

    Our partners at the Notebook report School Reform Commission chairman Pedro Ramos shared the news at Tuesday night’s budge hearing in West Philadelphia.
    Masch famously butted heads with ex-Superintendent Arlene Ackerman over his ability to manage the indebted district’s budget, and was demoted earlier this year when the SRC appointed chief recovery officer Thomas Knudsen.
