Former Perzel assistant says legislative and political work overlapped

It’s week two of the Computergate trial, and testimony continues.

Today, a former special assistant to John Perzel took the stand to say public and political work often overlapped during Perzel’s Speaker of the House term.

The case is building against Brian Preski, as the Associated Press reports. William Tomaselli, the former assistant, said today he took order from Perzel and Preski, Perzel’s chief of staff. Preski is one of three defendants left in the case, as the others have pleaded guilty.

The trial centers around the Perzel campaign’s use of technology to get Perzel re-elected using taxpayer money.
