Former Delaware QB heading to Miami?
The NFL lockout is over and so begins the mad dash for teams to sign free agents, including former Delaware quarterback Pat Devlin.
According to a report by the Miami Herald, quoting a “source close to Devlin,” the Dolphins are expected to sign Devlin. The quarterback, who transferred to Delaware from Penn State, was listed as the best undrafted free agent quarterback by NFL.com.
Devlin led the Blue Hens to the FCS National Championship game against Eastern Washington, a game the Hens dominated in the first half, but ended up losing after a number of miscues in the second half.
Devlin would like to follow in the footsteps of fellow former UD QB Joe Flacco, who was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2008 draft and is now the team’s starting quarterback.
