Former CFO sues Convention Center, alleges corruption
Attorneys for former Convention Center CFO Madeline Apollo and CEO Ahmeenah Young aren’t talking, but the 39-page complaint Apollo filed sure is.
Philly mag reports Apollo has filed a wrongful termination suit (which also claims breach of contract and conspiracy) against the Convention Center and Young, alleging Young fired her when Apollo tried to address corruption and patronage at the facility.
The documents filed are very specific, with one instance Apollo cites as Young hiring her friend’s cleaning service for the center despite the service submitting one of the highest bids.
