Former Atlantic City Police officer arrested for impersonating police

    An recently-laid-off Atlantic City Police officer was arrested Sunday for posing as an officer.

    According to the Press of Atlantic City, former officer James Fitzgerald was taken into custody after being pulled over for speeding and subsequently arrested for impersonating an officer. 

    The Press reports Fitzgerald was laid off in 2010 along with 60 other officers. In addition to the impersonation charge, he was taken in for driving with a suspended license and disorderly conduct.
