Food Trust fundraiser brings neighbors out to transformed lot on Germantown Avenue [gallery]

A vacant lot on the 6300 block of Germantown Avenue was transformed on Saturday to host the second annual NiceUp fundraiser. The event benefited Philadelphia nonprofit Food Trust. 

 

The lot on Germantown Avenue was decorated with lights, plants, games and activities to accomdate Saturday’s attendees. Food trucks lined the block. 

The event was held from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and featured food and drinks from local vendors including Jimmies Cupcake Co., Yards Brewery, KAMI, Made in the Shade Lemonade and Brazbq.
