F.O.C. Darley

Before Howard Pyle, or N.C. Wyeth, there was F.O.C. Darley. The self taught artist was the son of theatrical performers. He was perhaps the most famous illustrator of the mid 1800’s, and of course, he’s a Delawarean. First Experience heads to the Brandywine River Museum to see what made his work so special, and why he is worth knowing about.
