Flags at half-staff for deceased PGW worker

Mayor Michael Nutter has called for all city flags to be lowered to half-staff in honor of Mark Keeley. Keeley died Tuesday following the gas line explosion in Tacony.

 

“This explosion was a dreadful accident that resulted in the tragic loss of Mark Keeley. His family and friends have my deepest sympathy as they grapple with the loss of a life that was still just beginning,” Nutter said in a statement today.

Keeley, 19, was a second-generation PGW employee. His father is a pipe mechanic for the company.

Nutter has issued the half-staff honor through Keeley’s funeral services on Saturday.
