First Person Arts names new executive director

After announcing earlier this fall that founder Vicki Solot would leave her executive director role, First Person Arts has named her successor.

Playwright Jamie Brunson, who’s held nonprofit development roles with the Kimmel Center, New Freedom Theatre and Providence Black Repertory Company, will assume the ED role in January.

First Person Arts, well known for its Story Slam events, is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Brunson became involved in 2010. She’s got degrees from Sarah Lawrence and Temple, and has won several playwriting awards.
